Is Your Organization the Victim
of Fraud or the Perpetrator?

Is Your Company the Victim of Fraud or the Perpetrator?Guest speaker: Larry C. Adams, CPA, CFE, CIA, CISA. Companies often are the victims of fraud schemes, which can take big chunks out of their bottom lines. Fraud losses can exceed their net profit. Managers and auditors need to consider that this is not a local problem – it is a worldwide problem. People are not as honest as you believe. Some companies perpetrate fraud and are less than honest with investors, customers, vendors, and employees. At a Business Week conference, 67% of the chief financial officers admitted they had been asked to falsify financial records. Using cases from colonial America to today’s wireless world, we’ll have fun finding out how easily you can be duped, in spite of your intuition and knowledge. This will be a joint meeting of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), AZ Valley of the Sun Chapter  and  the Phoenix Chapter of APICS, the Association for Operations Management. The dinner meeting is at the Radisson Phoenix Airport North Hotel, 427 North 44th Street, Phoenix, Arizona. 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Make reservations online or phone Marcey Mende (602) 896-4740.
